个人简介
Snezana is a pharmacologist, lead for Pharmacology learning and teaching in the Department of Nursing, recognised for her expertise and knowledge in clinical applications of pharmacology and medication safety. Her earlier clinical training and her pharmacology training led her to have an atypical career trajectory.
Atypical career trajectory allowed Snezana to combine learnings from both worlds and transfer her expertise to the forefront of learning and teaching scholarship, specifically in the domain of pharmacology and biosciences that underpin clinical care. Snezana's research focuses on medication safety and quality use of medicines encapsulating both clinical aspects and scientific principles behind health, disease and human ageing process. Snezana also holds an honorary position as a Senior Research Fellow at The Florey Institute of Neuroscience and Mental Health which allows her to maintain a research recency in neuropsychopharmacology (her subspecialty area) and is also a Graduate Research Coordinator for the Department of Nursing. Snezana's research activities are conducted in a wide range of settings, from bench to bedside and community. She has extensive experience in animal behavioural models with relevance to psychiatric disorders, receptor pharmacology and biochemical techniques (bench research) and in clinical audits, prospective and observational studies (clinical research). To date, Snezana has completed over 50 peer-reviewed publications in scholarly journals, book chapters, invited commentaries and expert reports. She is Chair of Low to Negligible Risk (LNR) committee - Medical and Health Sciences and Research Ethics Advisor, Office of Research Ethics and Integrity, and Senior Academic Adviser - Student Life at Melbourne, The University of Melbourne.
