Bio
I am a postdoctoral researcher in physical oceanography especially interested in the interannual to decadal variability of oceanic circulation patterns as well as their impact on the transport of tracers, such as heat or freshwater, and ultimately climate. To study those, I have been analyzing and running numerical models. My particular area of expertise is the Lagrangian model analysis, that is, the simulation and interpretation of the spreading of virtual fluid particles between distinct oceanic regions. This field of research has allowed me, on the one hand, to address fundamental questions in physical oceanography related to the nature of the global overturning circulation, and, on the other hand, to contribute to a range of interdisciplinary projects addressing the impact of ocean currents on the distribution of chemical tracers, fish larvae, or marine debris.
