Simone Andréa Pozza holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the Federal University of Rio Grande -- Brazil (2002), a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from the Federal University of São Carlos -- Brazil (2005), and a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the Federal University of São Carlos -- Brazil (2009). She also holds a Specialist degree in Environmental Management from the Claretiano Centro Universitário (2008). She was also an ad-hoc consultant in the Brazil Ministry of Education and São Paulo State Council of Education. Currently, she is a professor at the School of Technology at the University of Campinas (Unicamp). She is a founding member and lead researcher at the Atmospheric Monitoring (MonitorAr) research group. Her current research interests are air quality, statistical and predictive models, aerosols, particulate matter, and source apportionment.
