Simon N Rogers is a consultant oral and maxillofacial surgeon at Aintree University Hospital, Liverpool, UK.. His specialist area is oncology and reconstruction. He hold a Chair in the Evidence-based Practice Research Centre (EPRC), Edge Hill University, UK. Simon' main research interest is in patient reported outcomes, health-related quality of life, and Handle-on QOL. The current project focuses on the Patient Concerns Inventory, not only as a prompt list to enhance HRQOL outcomes in H&N cancer but also in other chronic conditions.

He has organized eleven International Head and Neck Qualityof Life conferences hosted at Liverpool. He has developed, with contributions from colleague, a web-based resource cataloguing all the articles published on quality of life head and neck cancerusing questionnaires since1992: http://www.handle-onn/Index.aspx. In 2006, he was awarded the prestigious BAOMS Surgery Prize in recognition of the contribution he hasmade to the speciality. He is the chief investigator in the Patient Concerns Inventory trial and a world expertin patient reported outcomes, with an excess of 340 peer review publications. Between 2005 and 2015 he held senior clinic managerial roles in overseeing the Breast, Dermatology, ENT and Maxillofacial directorates.
