Simon M. Hsiang

Simon Hsiang received Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering at the Texas Tech University in 1992. He has more than 15 years of teaching experience in the areas of human factors and analytics. Since he joined academia, he has received support from the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health, the U.S. Postal Service, the U.S. Air Force and NASA. His past experience with large complex data of recurring events in the actuarial and field epidemiological studies can be directly conveyed to the stratification and development of meta-rules. He is currently the department chair of Systems Engineering and Engineering Management at the UNC Charlotte.
