Bio
My professional expertise focuses on wood anatomy, emerging physical-mechanical properties and biological variability of xylem tissue as a material for different industries. Also, my background gives me skills in histological techniques for xylem, image analysis and biometric measurements in light and scanning electron microscopy. Physical and mechanical properties measurements with laboratory tests and the statistical interpretation of their results allow me to evaluate the wood quality of new forest genetic materials.
Through interdisciplinary research with Forestry, Genetics and Plant Physiology projects, I have been able to interpret the functioning of the xylem and the possible effects of forestry treatments and the genotype on its properties. As well as, on the adaptations to environmental stress in the different productive sites in Argentina.
