My research focuses on applied remote sensing and GIS based methodological developments. My main research interests are in natural hazards with focus on gravitational mass movements and urban ecology. In my research I have gained experience in using a wide range of satellite and airborne remote sensing data including multispectral, hyperspectral and radar data. In the field of natural hazards I have attained a strong regional expertise in Central Asia mainly focusing on Kyrgyzstan.
