Bio
I have been involved in the area of Natural and Language processing for Indian Languages mainly involving speech recognition, speaker recognition, language recognition and fundamental analysis since 2011. My contribution/achievements in the relevant field are as follows:
Projects involved:
Corpus Development and Study of Acoustic and language Specific features of Indian English, Punjabi and Nepali (Sponsored by DRDO, New Delhi) , commenced on January 2012 and completed on June 2013. Total budget of the project was 9.8 lakhs
Development of Pronunciation Lexicon on Experimental study of phonetic and Phonemics of Indian Languages (Punjabi). (Sponsored by DeitY, New Delhi), this project commenced on August 2012 and will be submitted on Jan2015. Total budget of the project was INR 37.5 lakhs
Spoken Language Identification Using Acoustic and Linguistic Information from the Speech Signal (Sponsored by DRDO, New Delhi) , commenced on November 2015 and was completed on November 2016. Total budget of the project was 9.8 lakhs
Indian Languages requirements for W3C SSML & SGRS Standards: Based on Hindi, Bengali and Punjabi Languages (Sponsored by DeitY, New Delhi), this project commenced on August 2015 and was submitted on August 2016. Total budget of the project was INR 9.8 lakhs
Indian Language Resources for Bengali, Indian English, and Hindi (Sponsored by DeitY, New Delhi), this project commenced on Jan 2017 and was submitted on June 2019. The total budget of the project was INR 2.12 Cr
Development of Corpus and PLS for the Chinese language (Sponsored by DRDO, New Delhi) , commenced on August 2019 and was completed on August 2020. Total budget of the project was 9.8 lakhs

Development of Indian English speech recognition on Pocket Sphinx
Development of speaker identification system on HMM
Acoustic analysis of Punjabi speech data and statistical analysis of text corpus of Indian English,Punjabi, Nepali and Hindi
Acoustic analysis of different emotions.
Development of Language identification system for three languages for the DRDO, New Delhi
Selected by SAG, DRDO, New Delhi for one-week hands-on training on Speaker Identification under the guidance of Dr. Samudravijaya K. at TIFR Mumbai.

Attended a Short-term course on Automatic speech Recognition (ASR-10) held at Research and training unit for navigational Electronics, Osmania University, Hyderabad, during 6-9 September, 2010.
Attended a Workshop on “Fundamentals of Automatic Speech Recognition” held at C-DAC, Noida from 7th March 2011 to 8th March 2011.
Attended a Workshop on “Pronunciation Lexicon Standards for Indic Languages” co-organized by JNU, IIT Kharagpur Ministry of IT, India at School of Languages, JNU, Delhi on 4th-5th May 2011.
Attended Short-term course on Automatic speech Recognition (ASR-12) held at Research and training unit for navigational Electronics, Osmania University, Hyderabad, during 7-11 November, 2012.
