Dr. Huang’s research interests include elucidating molecular mechanisms regulating cancer metastasis and developing precision medicine therapeutic strategies against advanced cancer.
Work in Dr. Huang’s laboratory includes the implication of a double negative feedback loop of SHOX2 and miR-375 as a key regulator of EMT process in breast cancer and defining the molecular mechanisms underlying this loop in regulating EMT. Another ongoing project is to develop a precision medicine strategy against advanced ovarian cancer based on chromosomal and gene expression/activation status in tumor cells.
