Potato plants are in origin high-yield crops. We aim at further powering up productivity of these plants by transforming them with genes for strengthening functions of source and sink organs. At the same time, functions of the genes responsible for the greater yield and the mechanism of metabolic interaction between these organs are analyzed at the molecular level. Thereby, we would like to contribute to recycling atmospheric CO2 for industrial stock in the near future.
