A medical sociologist, Dr. Hudson is a community-engaged, primary care researcher working with vulnerable populations at the intersections of community health, primary care and specialty care. She has published extensively on the role of primary care in long-term follow-up care for cancer survivors. Input from patients, clinicians and the community is at the heart of her work. She is a mixed methods researcher and serves as Principal Investigator and co-Investigator on multiple NIH funded studies. Dr. Hudson’s research has been featured in a number of journals including JAMA Open Network, JAMA General Internal Medicine, Annals of Family Medicine and Lancet Oncology.
