个人简介
Shawana Tabassum received the B.Sc. degree in electrical engineering from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, Bangladesh, in 2014, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical and computer engineering from the Iowa State University (ISU), Ames, IA, USA, in 2018. She is an Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering at The University of Texas at Tyler, where she directs the Laboratory for Integrated Micro-nano Biodevices. was a recipient of the Science Breakthrough of the Year: the Emerging Talent from Falling Walls in 2020, the Robert J. Menges Award for outstanding research in educational development in 2020, the Postdoctoral Scholar Excellence Award for teaching and mentoring students in 2020, the Best Global Impact Innovation Prize from ISU’s Pappajohn Center for Entrepreneurship in 2019, the Biomedical Engineering Society’s Career Development Award in 2019, the Research Excellence Award in 2018, and a Finalist of the Best Paper Award at IEEE Sensors Conference (2016).
