Bio
Sharon M. Crook received the Ph.D. degree in applied mathematics from the University of Maryland, College Park, MD, USA, in 1996.
She is an Associate Professor with the School of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences and the School of Life Sciences, Arizona State University, Tempe, AZ, USA. Her research interests include the use of mathematical models to understand the dynamics of neurons and neural networks and topics in neuroinformatics related to model sharing and model reproducibility.
Dr. Crook is a member of the Board of Directors for the Organization for Computational Neuroscience, and a member of the Society for Neuroscience, the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics, the Society for Mathematical Biology, and the Association for Women in Mathematics. She is a 2011 recipient of a Scottish Informatics and Computer Science Alliance Distinguished Visiting Fellowship.
