个人简介
Sharón is a doctoral student in Conflict Management and Resolution at Ben Gurion University of the Negev. Sharón graduated with a B.Sc. in Psychology from the University of Maryland and attended the Hebrew University of Jerusalem Graduate Program in Clinical/Medical Psychology. In 2008 she completed a Masters in Public Policy: Mediation and Conflict Resolution at Tel Aviv University. She is currently a doctoral student in the program on Conflict Management and Resolution at Ben Gurion University of the Negev.
Sharón served a staff member for 17 years in the Arava Institute for Environmental Studies, serving most recently as Director of Alumni Projects, including founding the Arava Alumni Peace and Environmental Network (AAPEN). Previously Sharón worked in the Public Relations Department of Hebrew University of Jerusalem, interned at University of Maryland's Center for International Development and Conflict Management (CIDCM), worked as a counselor in the Hadassah Hospital - Eating Disorders Clinic, and served as the Director of the Hannaton Educational Center (in charge of logistics, program development, and informal educational programming). Sharón has worked as a facilitator for Pathways to Negotiation, which brings together Arab and Jewish Israeli high school students to learn negotiation tools, for Jerusalem Peace Builders, and for MEJDI Company: dual narrative tours. She conducts organizational consulting for Shatil (The New Israel Fund), and offers a variety of workshops as a freelancer for educational groups from high school age to post army programs to community groups. In addition, Sharón also provides English language editing services to other academics.
Currently, Sharón serves as Coordinator of the Martin-Springer Center for Conflict Studies at Ben Gurion University (MSC). In MSC she was a member of the trilateral research team for the recently completed project entitled “Hearts of Flesh not Stone: The impact of encountering the other on attitudes to reconciliation” supported by the German Research Fund (DFG). She was also a co-coordinator for the joint summer course Borders, Identities, Social Repair structured as a joint three-week, international summer program for students from Northern Arizona University (NAU), Arizona, USA & from Ben Gurion University, Be’er Sheva, Israel. Sharón assisted in the process of editing and producing the book, Israeli and Palestinian Collective Narratives in Conflict: A Tribute to Shifra Sagy and Her Work (Cambridge Scholars). Current research projects conducted by the Center include “My Diverse Kindergarten” in Israel and an international study about coping with the coronavirus pandemic.
