Symbiosis is an important phenomenon for life, and the existence of many ecosystems relies on symbiotic interactions (forests, reefs...). Among the most original associations are those involving marine invertebrates and bacteria which perform primary production in the absence of light by oxidizing reduced chemical compounds (chemoautotrophy). My research aims at understanding the diversity, functioning and evolution of these symbioses. Since 2017, I am also developping a line of research investigating the influence of various environmental factors, including algal blooms and pollution, on the structure and functioning of teleost-associated microbiotes. https://sites.google.com/site/duperronsebastien/accueil-en
