Janet Scott

Professor Janet Scott is Professor of Sustainable Materials in the Department of Chemistry, University of Bath and the Training Director of the EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Sustainable Chemical Technologies. Janet's research areas are Materials Chemistry, Physical Chemistry and Green Chemistry. Important current projects include biodegradable, sustainable carbohydrate particulate materials as rheology modifiers, emulsions stabilisers, and for formation of microbeads, micrcapsules and microsponges. Other topics include cellulose composites and biodegradable sensors for water testing.
