个人简介
Scott E. Cooper received the M.D. from Columbia University, New York. He received his clinical specialty and subspecialty training in Neurology and Movement Disorders at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center (now New York Presbyterian Hospital), and the Ph.D. degree in neurophysiology from the Columbia University Center for Neurobiology and Behavior.
His clinical interests are in movement disorders, in deep brain stimulation (DBS) for treatment of Parkinson's Disease, tremor, and dystonia, and in intraoperative techniques for accurate placement of DBS electrodes. His research interests are in physiology of DBS, in the control of limb movements by the intact and injured nervous system, and in the quantitative analysis of voluntary, abnormal, and involuntary movements.
