Bio
Material and surface engineer with experience in nanomaterials and functioanlsiationh for the past 17 years. Our group focussed on functionalisation and fabrication of of advanced 2D materials, metal oxides, and phtotocatalytic materials for applications including flexible solar cells, batteries, hydrogen energy and waste water treatment. Our group believes socially oriented research that has direct benefit to society, but with full understating of fundamental knowledge of the materials. I received PhD from University of Newcastle upon Tyne. (2004-2012) 8 years of postdoctoral fellowship at Trinity College Dublin and Dublin City University, Ireland, before taking academic position at The Open University. I am also conversant in Synchtron radiation of materials to understand the properties. PI of various synchrotron radiation facility including Max-lab Sweden, ALS, NSLS,Stanford Synchrotron Light Source, USA, Italy, and Diamond. My mission is to produce next generation of entrepreneurship PhD graduates.
