Dr. Alles has established an international reputation through his contributions in neuroscience research aimed at understanding the molecular and cellular pathways involved in chronic pain. His work has focused on understanding chronic pain mechanisms and ion channel biology, which has facilitated unique insights into novel therapeutics for treating pain, such as those impacting the ion channel Nav1.7.
