Bio
I am Saray Perez Robles, since November 2020 I am a Ph.D. student in Mathematics, Physics, and Engineering Applications at the University of Campania “Luigi Vanvitelli”. I obtained my master’s degree in Chemical Engineering in April 2020 and my bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering in April 2017, both from the National University of Colombia – Faculty of Mines in Medellín, Colombia. I count with 5 years of experience as a member of the research group in Surface Phenomena - Michael Polanyi, where I worked as academic and technical support in different research projects such as the development and evaluation of nanomaterials for the optimization of EOR processes and the inhibition of formation damage and development of polymeric gels optimized with nanomaterials for conformance and water shut-off in the oil and gas industry. As a result, we enhanced the stability of partially hydrolysed polyacrylamide (HPAM) /resorcinol/formaldehyde, and acrylamide sodium acrylate copolymer/chromium (III) Acetate gel systems using nanoparticles. At the present, I am part of the Rheology Group at the University of Campania “Luigi Vanvitelli”, where we are currently interested in the rheological behaviour of hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC) hydrogels and their reinforcement with nanomaterials, in particular modified cellulose nanocrystal (CNC). I am also a member of the European Society of Rheology (ESR) and the Italian Association of Rheology – SIR.
