个人简介
I am a senior lecturer at Manchester Metropolitan University within the Social Care and Social Work Department teaching on Integrated Health and Social Care and within the Social Work BA and MA.
Current Research: Uncertain Futures: Inequalities facing women over 50 around issues of work. (MICRA / Manchester Art Gallery Funded).
My research interests are in ageing, dementia, gender and care, embodiment, and sensory experiences, and lived experiences.
My previous role was as a researcher within the Dementia and Ageing Research team in the School of Health Sciences and part of the division of Nursing, Midwifery and Social Work at the University of Manchester.

Alongside this work I have been involved in a number of small-scale evaluations exploring various aspects of living well with dementia.
I completed my PhD in 2019.
Title: Atmospheres of Dementia Care: Stories told through the bodies of men.
Supervisors: Professor John Keady and Dr Richard Ward.
Prior to work at the University of Manchester, I worked for many years in the voluntary sector engaged in participatory research and group facilitation and advocacy work with adult mental health service users and with older people with learning difficulties.
