Bio
Dr Sara Karacsony is a Lecturer in Nursing, Graduate Research and Adjunct Coordinator, in the School of Nursing. Sara is an active member of the Transforming Research in Ageing group within the school. Sara’s research and teaching areas focus on workforce development in palliative care, and care and quality of life of older people. Sara joined the project team on the first Australian-funded research study into the benefits of the multisensory, psychosocial Namaste Care program for people living with end-stage dementia in residential aged care facilities and continues to promote the program’s philosophy and principles into various contexts of care as the Australian champion for Namaste Care International. Sara has contributed to the substantial policy work of the End-of-life Care Policy Chapter within the Australian College of Nursing.
