I integrate petrology/geochemistry/U-Pb geochronology/Isotope Geochemistry/mineral chemistry using SHRIMP, TIMS, ICP-MS and EPMA, and analysing Sr-Rb-Nd-Sm isotopes at the National Facility on Geochronology/Isotope Geology, IIT Roorkee on rocks/minerals/water/sediments and biogenic materials. My significant research contributions deal with the timing of various Himalayan tectonic events: pre-Himalayan deformation, transpressional tectonics along Karakoram, timing of collision and exhumation.
