Bio
. Samer Al-Martini is an associate professor of civil engineering at Abu Dhabi University, UAE. He is registered in the Professional Engineers in Ontario. He received his MESc and Ph.D from the University of Western Ontario, Canada. Dr. Al-Martini’s research interest is in the area of cement and concrete technology, fresh and mechanical properties of concrete in hot weather conditions, and modeling the behavior of cement-based materials. Dr. Al Martini Authored or co-authored around 25 technical publications in refereed journals and conference proceedings. He is an active reviewer of several international journals such as the American Society for Civil Engineering Journal ASCE and the American Concrete Institute Journal (ACI). He was selected by the chief editor of ASCE journal to the ASCE Outstanding Reviewer Recognition for the year of 2013. He was the chair of college of engineering research committee at ADU. Dr. Al Martini guaranteed three ADU research grants where he was the PI in all these grants. Several local industrial construction material companies in UAE supported his research at ADU by providing materials at no cost. Dr. Al Martini received the College of Engineering Excellence Research award for the academic year of 2010-2011.
