Mr. Ahmed is an assistant Lecturer at Civil Engineering Department, Aswan University, Egypt. He obtained his MSc degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM), Saudi Arabia. Mr. Ahmed earned his B.Sc degree in civil engineering from Egypt. Now, he is a PhD student at Institute of Environmental Engineering and Mechanization at Moscow state university of civil engineering (MGSU), Russia. He completed experimental and modelling research work in important environmental engineering areas, including: ▪ Advanced water/wastewater treatment, and hazardous waste management. ▪ Specific tasks he was assigned to work on include Application of advanced treatment processes such as photocatalysis, photo-Fenton, and electro-coagulation for wastewater treatment, Production of activated carbon from waste materials for the treatment of polluted wastewater and air streams, Use of advanced surface complexation models (SCMs) for adsorption modeling, etc. ▪ he also completed literature review to establish the novelty of suggested research topics along with their practical applications, defined the research methodology, arranged the bench scale setups and conducted experiments, completed kinetic & advanced adsorption modelling, defined the reactions-based process-details for mechanistic modelling, analyzed the aliquots using state-of-the-art analytical equipment (including IC, HPLC, GCMS, UV-Spectrophotometer, ICP, AAS, TOC analyzer, etc.). ▪ Material Characterization Techniques (XRD, ATR-FTIR, Electron microscopy - SEM, and TEM) ▪ Wrote technical reports, patents drafts, ISI journal papers, and conference papers.
