Sally Whitleyis the Supervisor of the Parametric Modeling and Risk Analysis Section within the Systems Engineering Group of the APL Space Exploration Sector. Sally has been working at APL since 2010 and is APL's subject-matter expert in parametric cost analysis. Sally Whitley uses her extensive background in probability and statistics to quantify risk in cost, schedule, and reliability for robotic space missions and missile defense applications. She has worked on cost and schedule risk quantification for major APL missions during formulation and development, including Parker Solar Probe, DART, IMAP, and Dragonfly, and has provided statistical analyses for the Missile Defense Programs in support of failure review boards and reliability assessments. Prior to coming to APL, Sally was a pricing actuary with a High Excess Lines Property/Casualty Insurer. She is a graduate of Penn State University's Actuarial Sciences Program.
