个人简介
My research interests concern the evolution of the first metazoan body plans. In my lab we use a diverse set of approaches to study how the sponge body plan works, and to interpret how it may be related to that of cnidarians, placozoans, and higher animals.
Our lab tools are high end microscopy – EM, video and light microscopy – physiology and molecular techniques, but we also study these animals in the field – by diving, snorkeling, and use of a remote operated vehicle.
