个人简介
Dr. Sabrina M. Curtis is the Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Khanjur R&D (established in August 2022). Dr. Curtis graduated from a combined 5-year B.S./M.S. program from the Department of Materials Science and Engineering from University of Maryland in 2017 and 2018, respectively. Her master’s thesis research focused on the development of stretchable silicon electronics and was conducted at the U.S Army Research Laboratory in Adelphi, MD between 2016 and 2018. In 2018, she proposed ideas to create stretchable/wearable renewable energy solutions using thin-film shape memory alloys, for which she was awarded the prestigious National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship to fund her doctoral studies.
Dr. Curtis successfully defended her bi-national doctoral degree between Kiel University (Dr. - Ing.) and University of Maryland (Ph.D.) in March 2023. The primary focus of her research was to integrate smart materials (i.e shape memory alloys and piezoelectric thin-films) into novel micro and nano electronic applications such as sensors, actuators, and stretchable electronics. The title of the thesis was "Functionalizing Thin-Film Shape Memory Alloys for Novel MEMS Applications".
