It was a challenge to complete the massive job in record time motivating the group consisted of skilled, even unskilled, and semi-skilled technicians. Model making workshop was headed by me. A few trial runs of ship models were done in the tank.
Yokohama National University attracted me with the support of prestigious "Monbusho Scholarship" to do research and then Ph D with the financial support of Japanese Govt. Dynamics of marine towing and maneuvering was the topic for research under a veteran Pr, Yoshiyukioue wh,o had long years of experience in IHI, Japan. Became fluent in spoken Japanese.
Wanted to serve the country and joined as a Visiting Scientist in NIOT, functioned in the IIT Campus. After serving a year or so, the Department of Ocean Engineering offered a position for Assistant Professor. Then onwards started teaching and doing research.
