Bio
I received my PhD degree from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Koç University-Turkey. I earned a bachelor degree from Department of Mechanical Engineering, Sharif university-Iran. I am currently working as post-doctoral fellow at Koç University. My studies goes on under supervision of Dr.Kerem Pekkan in Biofluids and Cardiovascular Mechanics Laboratory since September 2015.
Since my PhD studies, I am actively involved in designing pre-surgical planning framework for pediatric congenital heart defect patients. My scope of research involves computational simulation of cardiovascular flows, tissue engineering, design and analysis of robust cardiovascular patches tailored for optimal performance in surgeries. We work collaboratively with clinicians, surgeons and peer researchers to interpret and analyze our experiments and computer simulations. Currently, I am working on growth modeling of arterial patch reconstructions in Tetralogy of fallot (TOF) patients. In this study we establish a predictive computational model for finite growth of arterial native tissue after cardiovascular patch reconstructive surgeries. long-term complication of the patch surgeries can be predicted in the presented framework.
