Bio
Steve Niezgoda (niezgoda.6@osu.edu) re- ceived his Ph.D. degree from Drexel University in 2010, where his research was focused on microstructure-sensitive design. He then went on to postdoctoral research appointments at the Los Alamos National Laboratory in the Materials Science in Radiation and Dynamic Extremes group and Lujan Neutron Scattering Center. He is an associate professor in the Departments of Materials Science and Engineering as well as Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at The Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio, 43210, USA, where he is also the director of the Micro- and Mesoscale Mechanics and Structures Laboratory. His research interests include micromechanical modeling and simulation, constitutive model development, crystal plasticity, experiment and simulation co-design, computational materials design tools, and the data sciences.
