RESEARCH EXPERIENCE
For my doctoral thesis I mainly worked on oxide based single junction amorphous silicon single junction solar cells with high efficiency. I developed high quality oxide based p, n and buffer layer and also innovative back reflectors having microcrystalline structures. I have developed a method of back reflection by utilising nanoparticles, which has been received best poster award at EU-PVSEC 2016 in area of “New Materials and Concepts for solar cells and modules”.
At present I am working on Heterojunction (HIT) cell and various techniques of light management (including different types of nanostructures) for application in planer and radial junction structures of solar cells. I am also working on high efficiency micromorph solar cells including innovative internal reflection layer (IRL). Other works I am involved in Application of nanoparticles in crystalline and amorphous silicon solar cells; Synthesis of ZnO nanorod doped and undoped in chemical method for fabrication of radial junction solar cells; Texturization of glass substrate for better utilization of the shorter wavelength of light in solar cells by dry method and wet chemical method; synthesis of metal, semiconducting nanoparticles for application in solar cells; texturization of the front TCO for application in solar cells; synthesis and application of ITO nano-whisker in amorphous and crystalline silicon solar cells etc.
