个人简介
Sarah Sweet is a Lecturer in Astrophysics and ARC DECRA Fellow at the University of Queensland, where she teaches Astrophysics and researches how galaxies evolve from compact, clumpy objects in the distant past, to the familiar grand design spiral and elliptical galaxies we see in today’s Universe. She investigates the internal (mass, angular momentum) and environmental factors responsible for galaxy diversity in properties such as morphology, chemical content and dark matter content, mapping their evolution over cosmic time. Sarah completed her PhD in Astrophysics at UQ in 2014, on the chemistry and kinematics of tidal dwarf galaxies in gas-rich groups. She then held postdoctoral fellowships at the Australian National University and Swinburne University of Technology, before returning to UQ in 2020.
