Bio
Rafal Krawczyk is a senior applied fellow with CERN, and a member of the online team with the LHCb experiment. He studied from 2009 to 2014 with the Warsaw University of Technology. He was working toward the PhD degree from 2014 to 2018 and currently he is a research assistant with the Warsaw University of Technology since 2014. His PhD thesis concerned implementing HPC device for the real-time diagnostics in the WEST thermal fusion reactor in Cadarache CEA facility, and was made in collaboration with the EUFOfusion consortium. Presently, he works with CERN since 2018, contributing to the development of a high-throughput high-scale event-building network for the data acquisition system in the LHCb experiment. He is specializing in implementing accelerator and network-based real-time HPC processing for intensive computing loads in large scale physics experiments. He is a member of IEEE Polish Section Committee and a voluntary admin of IEEE Polish Section. For more information, please visit ieee.pl webpage.
