个人简介
Dr Sajal Saha is by training an academic pharmacist and a commonwealth scholar. He is an Executive Dean Health Research Fellow, School of Medicine, Deakin University. He was a PhD fellow of the Australian National Centre for Antimicrobial Stewardship and completed his PhD in antimicrobial stewardship from Monash University.
Saha’s research has developed a General Practitioner-pharmacist collaborative antimicrobial stewardship (GPPAS) model that guides how to improve antimicrobial stewardship in Australian primary care by fostering GP-pharmacist collaboration. His research unveils the role of pharmacists in the prudent use of antimicrobials in response to the global problem of antimicrobial resistance.
Saha has been actively involved in pharmacy teaching and research since 2009. He has successfully supervised six master student’s thesis projects as a primary supervisor.
He has published 39 peer-reviewed articles with recognised publishers including BMJ, Oxford University Press, Cambridge University Press, Elsevier, and MDPI, and has presented in over 20 international conferences held in the USA, Canada, UK, France, Switzerland, Australia and Bangladesh. Saha also works as a reviewer for 10 medical and pharmacy journals.
His academic achievements have been reflected through the Jeff Cheverton Scholar 2022, Monash Post Publication Award 2021, Monash Research Impact Award 2020, AAAPC Travelling Fellowship 2021, Pan Canadian TUTOR-PHC Trainee Stipend Award 2020, ESCMID conference Travelling Fellowship 2020, NAPCRG Young Scientist Travel Grant 2018, UK Commonwealth Scholarship 2015, Best Teacher Award 2010 and Deans Award 2007.
