Dr Sharon James is an experienced primary healthcare nurse and Research Fellow with interests in primary care reform and women’s sexual and reproductive healthcare. She is managing the Australian Contraception and Abortion Primary Care Practitioner Support (AusCAPPS) Network evaluation. Dr James’ independent research trajectory aims to enhance consumer resources and experiences, workforce preparation and utilisation, and the delivery of interconception and preconception care. She is an Australian Primary Health Care Nurses’ Association Board Director and has been awarded Fellowships with TUTOR-PHC 2022 (Western University, Canada) and the Oxford International Primary Care Research Leadership Programme 2024 (University of Oxford, UK).
