个人简介
Stephen Fischer (M'95) received the B.S. degree in computer engineering from California State University, Sacramento, in 1985.
He is currently a Principal Engineer with Intel Corporation, Folsom, CA, working on IA-32 processor architecture and microcode development. Prior to a two-year stint at the Level One Communications subsidiary working on the definition and design of DSL and wireless transceivers, he was involved in wide range of projects including: the definition of the MMX™ instruction set, microarchitecture lead on the Pentium® III processor design, definition of the PCI bus protocol, and PC chipset architecture. Previously, he was with Data General working on the design of a 32-bit VLSI processor for super-mini-based computers. He holds 16 U.S. patents.
Dr. Fischer has been a member of the Program Committee of the IEEE International Solid-States Circuits Conference from 2000 to 2003.
