Sara Diogo concluded her PhD on Higher Education Studies on the 28th June 2016, at the University of Aveiro (UA), in Portugal, within a cotutelle agreement framework with the University of Jyväskylä, in Finland. From 2011 to 2014, she carried out her research activity both as a PhD student and as a junior researcher in the Finnish Institute for Educational Research, at the University of Jyväskylä, in Finland. Although being in Finland, she maintained a scholarly link with CIPES the Research Centre on Higher Education Policies (Portugal), and with UA, where she graduated from the Erasmus Mundus Master Programme on Higher Education Studies [University of Oslo, University of Tampere and the University of New England, South Wales - Australia). Sara Diogo started lecturing at the Department of Social, Political and Territorial Sciences (DSCPT) in 2015. Since then, until the present, she lectures several courses to the three cycles of studies of DCSPT: to the Bachelor of Public Administration; to the Masters of Public Administration and Management; Political Science, and Master on Languages and Business Skills; and to the Doctoral Program on Public Policies. From June 2017 to February 2021, the candidate was granted a Post-Doc Fellowship in public policies from GOVCOPP the Research Unit on Governance, Competitiveness and Public Policies, working in the Public Policies, Institutions and Innovation Research Group (PI2, http://www.ua.pt/govcopp/profile_209). Both teaching and research activities are enriched by her part-time work as a consultant for the Word Bank in the field of Higher Education Policy and Reform in Europe and Central Asia Region, and with her work with the Instituto Camões in the field of International Cooperation and Development Education for Development, since 2016. Sara Diogo is a member of the International Committee of the Conference on Gender Research (ICGR), and since May 2019, a member of the Steering Committee of the Standing Group on Knowledge Politics and Policies of the ECPR (European Consortium for Political Research). Her research focuses on the study of public policies targeting higher education and science institutions, governance and management, scientific employment, and international cooperation, applying a gender lens. Among others, she has published in the European Journal of Cultural and Political Sociology, Journal of Higher Education Policy and Management; Journal of Management & Governance, European Journal of Higher Education, Journal of International Womens Study; Higher Education, etc. and book chapters in Springer, Palgrave, Emerald Editors, etc.
