Bio
Sang-Chul Han received the B.S. degree in metallurgical engineering from Korea University, Seoul, South Korea, in 1987, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in materials science and engineering from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), Daejeon, South Korea, in 1990 and 1995, respectively.
From 1995 to 1996, he was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow with KAIST. Since 1996, he has been with the Korea Electric Power Research Institute, Daejeon, where he is currently a Principal Researcher with the Creative Future Laboratory. His current research interests include the superconducting magnetic energy storage and high-temperature superconducting power cables.
