个人简介
Prof.Dr. Sinan Akgöl has established Biochemistry Research Group in 2010. Groups researches are heavily on development of specific adsorbents for purification of biomolecules from their natural environments. In recent years, isolation of biomolecules (protein, enzyme, antibody, nucleic acid, hormone etc.) from biological media has becoming an important issue in biotechnology, biochemistry, pharmacy and medical fields. Affinity technique is the foremost because of its high selectivity within the separation techniques. Dr. Akgöl and his group have developed monosize nano and microspheres, macrospheres, membranes and magnetic carriers and these carriers were modified to make them available protein purification, removal of toxic substance.
Dr. Akgöl has investigated the usability of the polymeric nanosorbents developed by him in many applications such as bioseparation, sensor development, protein isolation/purification, etc.
Currently, 1 post-doc, 3 PhD and 2 MSc students are working in the group. 17 MSc, 11 PhD thesis have finished up to now. Over 120 scientific publications and 7 patent have produced by the group and 140 international presentations have been performed.
