个人简介
Ruxandra Stoean (M'08) was born in Craiova, Romania, on August 2, 1979. She received the B.S. and M.S. degrees from the University of Craiova, Craiova, Romania, and the Ph.D. degree from the Babes-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca, Romania, all in computer science, in 2002, 2003, and 2008, respectively.
She is currently an Assistant Professor with the Department of Computer Science, Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science, University of Craiova, where she lectures on nonprocedural programming and teaches laboratory classes in artificial intelligence and logic programming. Her current research interests include support vector machines, evolutionary computation, and data mining. She has been the guest of the Universities of Cologne and Dortmund, Germany, with the support of a German Academic Exchange Service grant.
Dr. Stoean was awarded a 2008 Computer Science Prize from the Romanian Academy for a collection of papers in evolutionary computation as part of a four-person group. She is a member of the IEEE Computer Society.
