个人简介
I specialize in ophthalmic research, with a specific focus on stem cells, regenerative medicine, developmental biology, and genetic engineering related to the human retina. My main goal is to address inherited retinal degeneration using an innovative approach that combines various techniques. To achieve this, I utilize human pluripotent stem cells, such as induced pluripotent stem cells and embryonic stem cells, along with organoids, CRISPR gene editing, RPE transplantation, and 3-D nanofibrous scaffolding. By integrating these cutting-edge technologies, I strive to find effective solutions to the challenges associated with vision loss.
My research has already made significant progress. I have developed a unique retinal organoid model, which provides a valuable tool for studying retinal function and disease. Additionally, I have explored the axon pathfinding of retinal ganglion cells and investigated cell patterning using stem cells. Furthermore, I have successfully generated large genomic deletions (15 kbp) using CRISPR/Cas9 technology. Through my work, I aim to make substantial contributions to the field of ophthalmic research and uncover new insights into inherited retinal degeneration.
