个人简介
Stephen M. Ronayne received the B.Eng. degree from Cork Institute of
Technology, Cork, Ireland, in 2005 and the Honours degree from the University of Limerick, Limerick, Ireland, in 2007.
He is currently a Biomedical Engineer with extensive research experience in the design, development, and testing of
biomedical implants. In January 2014, he joined the Vascular Bionics Laboratory within the Department of Medicine,
University of Melbourne, and Synchron Australia as one of the key engineers developing the Stentrode. His research has
surrounded evaluation of safety and efficacy of the device in chronic animal trials, and proof-of-concept
demonstration of the Stentrode as a feasible and minimally invasive alternative to existing brain machine interfaces.
