Bio
PhD with summa cum laude in Materials Science and Engineering, field of Ceramics, at the Federal University of São Carlos - UFSCar (2016). Master's degree with summa cum laude in Materials Science and Engineering, field of Ceramics, at UFSCar (2013). Bachelor's degree in Ceramic Engineering from educational foundation Unibave – Febave (2012), with academic exchange at the Centre for Research in Ceramics and Composite Materials (CICECO) from University of Aveiro (UA). Today, is a FAPESP postdoctoral fellow at the Group of Chemistry of Hybrid and Inorganic Materials at the São Carlos Institute of Chemistry (IQSC) from the University of São Paulo (USP). Works on the development of inorganic nano-antimicrobials and smart dressings against wound infections. Possess experience with synthesis of inorganic materials by co-precipitation and combustion methods. Has experience with materials characterization, using several structural techniques such as refinement of crystalline structures by the Rietveld method and characterization of monocrystalline / polycrystalline ceramics by electron diffraction. Research interest includes the synthesis of micro-to-nano functional materials, inorganic nano-antimicrobials to combat microbial resistance, and wound dressings with broad biocide spectrum.
