个人简介
Dr. Rodrigo Ramirez-Campillo research interest is on sport and exercise sciences, particularly on plyometric exercise, with a secondary focus on its associated neural and musculoskeletal physiological phenomena. His current project is titled “Plyometric-jump training for human performance and health”. The goal is to understand the acute and long-term adaptive responses (e.g., physiological, biomechanical) to different types of plyometric-jump training exercises, in different groups of participants, using a modeling approach through different programming configurations (e.g., repetitions; type of surface). He is permanently looking for high-quality international collaboration with laboratories, to solve problems such as sub-optimal athletic performance and injury-rehabilitation. He obtained research grants for ~250.000 USD, published >300 peer-review articles (WOS), is included among the 2% most-cited researchers in sport sciences (Stanford list), and among the 0.035% researchers in plyometric exercise (Expertscape list). In 2020-2021 led his research group among the first 150 groups in the world and the first in Chile in the field of sport sciences (Shanghai list). Dr. Ramirez-Campillo has two decades of teaching experience, guided national and international doctoral, as well as master and undergraduate students. Consultant for sport-related clubs and athletes, academic groups at national-international Universities, and government-related agencies.
