个人简介
Robert Treuhaft received the bachelor’s degree in physics from Yale University, New Haven, CT, USA, in 1976, and the Ph.D. degree in high-energy nuclear physics from the University of California at Berkeley, Berkeley, CA, USA, in 1982.
He joined the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Pasadena, CA, USA, and was involved in Very Long Baseline Interferometry, making the first measurement of relativistic deflection of electromagnetic waves by a planet (Jupiter). In forest remote sensing, he developed a modeling approach to radar interferometric and polarimetric remote sensing. His data demonstrations are mostly on tropical forests. Most recently, his principal focus has been biomass dynamics from TanDEM-X phase height time series. In other areas, he participated in the first high-accuracy measurement of a lake’s surface altitude (Crater Lake) using reflected signals from the GPS.
