个人简介
Rick Rogers’ main research interests revolve around social demography and the sociology of health, including health disparities. He was the lead author of the 2000 book, Living and Dying in the U.S.A.: Health, Behavioral, and Social Differentials in Adult Mortality, coauthored with Robert Hummer and Charles Nam. The book won the 2002 Otis Dudley Duncan Award for Distinguished Scholarship in Social Demography from the Population Section of the American Sociological Association. Rogers and Eileen Crimmins (University of Southern California) recently coedited the International Handbook of Adult Mortality, a comprehensive and up-to-date overview of theoretical, methodological, and statistical developments and insights, and an in-depth examination of trends and patterns in adult mortality around the world. In 2006, he received the University of Colorado Excellence in Research, Scholarly, and Creative Work Award.
