Bio
My main area of research is in numerical analysis of partial differential equations. In particular, I work on the design, theoretical study and efficient implementation of mixed finite element methods, hybrid discretisations, and adaptive schemes. Topics I am interested in also include fundamental questions in approximation, functional analysis, and scientific computing. I also work on a number of applicative problems such as multiphase flow and transport in porous media, population dynamics, transmission equations in continuum mechanics, and models for large deformations of soft living tissues
