Bio
Ricardo Lizana Fuentes nació en Rancagua, Chile en 1985. Recibió su M.Sc. y D.Sc. en Ingeniería Electrónica en la Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María, Valparaíso, Chile, en el 2011 y 2015, respectivamente. Comenzó a trabajar en la Universidad Católica de la Santísima Concepción, Concepción, Chile en el 2015, donde actualmente es Profesor Asistente del Departamento de Ingeniería Eléctrica. Durante el 2017 realizó un postdoctorado en la Universidad de Duke, Durham NC USA. Sus áreas de investigación principales son los sistemas de transmisión HVDC y ERNC. Dr. Lizana Fuentes recibió la beca CONICYT en el 2011 para realizar sus estudios de Doctorado, la beca Emerging Leaders in the Americas Program Scholarship (ELAP) de la Canadian Bureau for International Education en el 2012, Second Prize Paper Award de la IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics en el 2015, el 2021 fue ascendido a Senior Member por la IEEE y el 2022 recibió el premio First Place Prize Paper Award for 2021 for paper "Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure: From Grid to Battery" de la IEEE Industrial Electronics Magazine
Ricardo Lizana Fuentes was born in Rancagua, Chile in 1985. He received his M.Sc. and D.Sc. in Electronic Engineering at the Federico Santa María Technical University, Valparaíso, Chile, in 2011 and 2015, respectively. He began working at the Universidad Católica de la Santísima Concepción, Concepción, Chile in 2015, where he is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering. During 2017, he did a postdoctoral fellow at Duke University, Durham NC USA. His main research areas are HVDC transmission systems and Renewable Energy systems.
