My background is a Postdoctoral scholar in the Department of Applied Statistics and Biometrics at Federal University of Viçosa – Viçosa – MG – Brazil (2017-2020).

1) Postdoctoral scholar in the Department of Genetics and Breeding at Federal University of Viçosa – Viçosa – MG - Brazil (2015 - 2016):
Project: PREDICTION OF GENETIC VALUES ON WIDE GENOMIC SELECTION APPROACHES AND ARTIFICIAL NEURAL NETWORKS
Learn new methodology and Train in the area of biometrics and genetic improvement. Analyze and process data with emphasis on plant breeding, promote training and professional qualification in genetics and improvement topics, develop and make available computer applications for teaching and learning genetics and for simulation, analysis and data processing. Provide face-to-face training (José Eduardo dos Santos University – UJES/FCA Huambo - Angola – África - Experimental Statistics and Genetic Improvement Module – GENES SOFTWARE (July 25 -29, 2016) and IAPAR: Agronomic Institute of Paraná; Paraná, Brazil - Experimental, Multivariate, Biometrics and Computational Intelligence in the Genes Application (September 12-16, 2016)), Manage genes news facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/GenesNews/) and groups bioinformatics lab, BIODATA.
Souza Cruz – A member of British American Tobacco p p.l.c group with two years experience in Tobacco Breeding Manager and Geneze Sementes S/A with a one year experience in Corn Breeding. In Souza Cruz I worked with coordinate a tobacco breeding program in Brazil. These program include budget (CAPEX and OPEX) control, Pre – breeding for diseases (Bacterial Wild, PVYn, PVY ntn, Chemical, Flavor and Taste), breeding for quality and yield (using molecular Marker-assisted for PVYn, TMV e Meloidogyne incognita R1 and R3). My personal goal is to develop and coordinate a team to increase plant production. Areas of expertise include: plant breeding, agronomy, field environment and stress combination, biotechnology, leadership, team work, administrative and financial management; background in line development, hybrid research, biotechnology applied in plant breeding; establishing breeding plans, goals, and strategies; building a portfolio to achieve new market share; experience in leading and motivating decentralized team; people development based on best practices and results. Here we achieve our goals, but we have to overcome our limited time (sense of urgency) and take advantage our resources.
